So this weekend was the first Tennessee "Nail Gals" meetup in Chattanooga! It was so fun! We all drove in from surrounding areas and met for lunch at Urban Stack, which is like a trendy burger place. I got a New Mexico something-or-other which had roasted green chilis on it. #YUM

I'm slightly obsessed with these nails so I have approximately one bazillion pics of them ;)

Urban Stack

Here is April of Pipe Dream Polish diving up and handing out all of our polishes. She hand makes amazing polishes! She was nice enough to sell us polishes at a bit of a discount, and then hand deliver them to us! Awesome! All the neons you see are what have really put her on the map, and the same ones I won in the giveaway I mentioned earlier and they are as awesome as everyone says! Everyone clapped and cheered when she walked in, haha!

Here is a little peak at my order. Yall I had like twice as many on my list but I had to cut it back! Maybe she will do the same deal for us again at the next meet up and I can complete my collection ;)
It's black and white because half of them (actually more than half) are for a few friends of mine and I don't want them to see which ones they are.  wink wink!

no peeking!
Here are the ones I purchased for myself!! I made this picture a little larger so you can see all the sparklies :) From Left they are: a custom fall glitter she made just for us at the meetup, no name and not for sale!, Cha-Ching!, Champagne Kisses, Rhythm and Blues, Frozen Over, and #Mcinspiration

Fun fact...I was super on the fence about the custom, the one on the left, because it has orange glitters in it, and yall know how I feel about that! I just wasn't sure I would ever wear it. So I didn't order it. But then she had to go ahead and bring a few extras she made and the next thing I knew it jumped over to be with it's sparkly siblings. Ah well! ;)

new babies!

Another beauty I walked away with was this awesome bracelet from Shannon of Catch22 Concepts! I won it in a little contest she had for all of us to guess how many polishes she had based on a picture on her phone! I asked her for something pink or teal in a bracelet. She came up with this, and I just love it! It's made with one of April's polishes, called Caribbean Dreaming! Which was on my list but got cut! wahhhhhhhhhhhhh now I pretty much need to get that one ;)

THEN when we were done with lunch we headed to a few stores to do some shopping. Let me tell you, it's super fun to polish shop with others that know about it! We went to Ulta first and I went straight to find out if they had the new Zoya Matte topcoat giftset that's in the ad. I only have one good topcoat and I think this is new from Zoya even though they aren't talking about it much! So I bought 2 full price Zoyas, from left, Kristin (light blue) and Bevin (sage green) and got the matte topcoat (which I've tried on one finger so far and it's awesome!) It also came with a matte red lipstick which I will probably never use...I need to find another home for it! Then I got the yellow (Zoya Piaf) and purple (Julie) from the clearance bin. The yellow one was only 99c, even though it wasn't marked that way. Score! After my coupon I only spent like $23 dollars there for all this! We also went to Sally and TJ Maxx but I was good and didn't buy anything. Yay me.

new zoyas
So it was super fun! It was like 4 hours of non stop chatting, lol.  I can't wait to do it again!!

Moving on! I should probably divide this up into another post but I'm not gonna! Here is the pattern I drew for each nail in the water. I used all OPI Polishes for this. I was going to take a pic of all the bottles lined up so you can see the individual colors lined up but I didn't get to it. If yall want to start seeing that kind of pic in my posts just let me know!

The theme for the meetup for "falling leaves" I didn't really feel like doing actual leaves on my nails, plus I can't actually draw anything anyway, so I had an idea to do a fall colors watermarble. I went with the colors of the leaves as the change colors: green, yellow, orange/red, dark red, and brown. Good thing I did several practice rounds in cups earlier in the day on Saturday because it took me a few different greens and browns to find ones that worked well together.

I used:

green: Jade is the New Black
yellow: I Just Can't Cope-Acabana
orangey red: Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It
dark red: Lost on Lombard
brown: How Great is Your Dane
gold (last bit just in the  middle): Glitzerland

I am SUPER happy with the way they turned out, even though they took foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  Partly due to clean up from the dark colors. UGH! But worth it.

Here is a longer video of the process!!

Here's a pic I took in my lightbox, which I'm still not satisfied with yet. grumble grumble. moving on.

lightbox. meh.
We got a teensy tiny bit of sunlight this morning through some lighter clouds (note: not direct sun. angry face) which I have been waiting for to get a decent pic and them matte these bad boys. Yep. Still awesome.

indirect sunlight, matte.

indirect sun, matte.

Here is quick little bonus video...I'm starting a new playlist on my channel of video outtakes...because I'm sure there will be many and sometimes you have to find the humor in life. This is just a hobby and it's supposed to be fun! So....the story is..... I have my phone on top of a cute canister to film...and I guess I didn't have it back far enough and ON THE VERY FIRST TRY the stupid thing fell off and into the water WITH POLISH lens first. UGH! I grabbed it out and ran into the bathroom to clean it up. I think I did a pretty good job of salvaging it, but boy I was super panicked! So It took me forever to get it cleaned up and get it all re set up, hence adding to the eternity it took to get this mani done. Let me know if yall want to see more outtakes!

and one last picture! Because it was a special occasion I marbled 2 nails on my right hand! Excuse my super nub on my middle finger, it broke wayyyy down a couple weeks ago and I'm filing it as it grows out. It still looks super weird :/

The gold is OPI Love Angel Music Baby. Stay tuned this week--time and weather and life allowing, I have 3 review posts coming up plus swatches of the new Zoya Matte Velvets!
