First time stamping snowflakes!

Image
Hello! Today I have more adventures in me getting into stamping. This is the mani I wore all last weekend. I was really feeling neutral and brown so I decided to dig through my Essies! The lighting was really terrible out-gray and cloudy. bleh. I used Mochacino (brown sparkly, untried), Parka Perfect (dusty blue, untried), Sand Tropez (nude) and Beyond Cozy (glitter). The plate I used is Moyou Festive 02, which is all single snowflakes. I just love it, but man is there a knack to picking up the whole image, especially when you aren't using polish specifically made for stamping! Some of those snowflakes have such detail engraved in them. Those fine detailed designs are definitely harder to get on the stamper than the regular ones. These polishes stamped fairly well, considering. indoor lights Overall I was pretty happy with this mani, especially since I was able to duplicate this on my right hand too! Point -> Stamping! I still have a lot of work to go.

Falling leaves mani stamped with Pueen

Hey guys! Happy last day of November! I figured it needed to get this post live before Christmas Nails season begins (happy dance). I wore this about 6 weeks ago, and I'm just now getting it up here! Mostly because I filmed the process, I haven't been filming lately but I'm still working on a good method for me. This was one of the first mani's I did with my new Pueen stamping plates I ordered off Amazon! I have been having alot of fun with them. outdoors For the leaves I used a mixture of Zoya Courtney, Cam, Darcy, and Wyatt. The nude base is Cala and the gold is Levi, which picked up on my stamper fairly well. indoors Check out the video to see how I achieved the mixing of the colors on the plate :) (Drumroll) I even did my right hand! I usually never have nailart on my right hand because using vinyls takes too long and I pretty  much can't even use a dotting tool with my left hand. Stamping has opened up a whole new world! Matching nail ...

Disney's Moana inspired nail art with stamping!

Image
Hello and Happy Thanksgiving week! Who's excited about Moana coming out tomorrow??? We were planning on seeing it tomorrow but now we will have to wait a few days. We love all things Hawaii and Disney so when we first heard about this movie ages ago we were so pumped! It looks really amazing and I hope it does well at the box office! I got the idea last night after I saw something about Moana on the internet and remembered my new Moyou Tourist plate I just purchased...it's Hawaii themed. There was so many I wanted, including an Australian one, but a girl has to stop somewhere loading her cart ;) I sketched out some ideas and got to work! We all know the main reason I am getting into stamping is that I can not free hand anything. The little bit I used to be able to do I can't anymore. So there was no spelling out her name or painting her face. But there was plenty on the plate to work with! This is what it looks like....heart eyes! Here ar...

First Ever Dia De Los Muertos nails inspired by soap!

Happy November 2! It's still 85° here, oh happy day! I think today will be our last truly warm day so I have mixed emotions! Sugar skulls have been popular in the nail world used for nail art for years....I've never really been into that look, partially because I'm not into Halloween that much or skulls of any type. Then when I watched the movie The Book of Life a couple years ago that all changed! It's a beautiful, funny and sweet movie that's not just for kids. It's become one of my favorite movies! After watching that I understood the meaning behind Dia De Los Muertos. Since then I did want to do those designs but I knew there was no way I was doing that without a stamping plate. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when my one and only Halloween plate arrived and there are a few sugar skull designs on it!  Fast, fast forward to today when I finally got to mess around with them! I didn't really have a plan going in, but this morning I was washing my ha...

Halloween 2016: 80's inspired neon

Image
Happy Halloween week guys! I'm not a fan of Halloween too much, in particular all the gory and gross stuff people so and wear, zombies and all that. Not for me! So for anyone else in my boat, I'm going to be doing as many non-traditional nail art designs as I can fit in before Halloween! For this mani I used several of the China Glaze Lite Brites collection: I'll pink to that (pink), None of your risky business (Orange), Whip it good (yellow), and Lime after Lime (green). I blobbed them all on to the design on the Pueen Halloween Party 01 plate and scraped twice to blend!  My base is OPI Alpine Snow and the black texture is OPI Emotions. I just used a lightning bolt nail vinyl to make the bolt :)
