St. Patrick's Day nails (work appropriate)

Image
Good Morning! Today's the last day you have to hear me crappin' on about St. Patrick's day! I wanted to create a "work appropriate" look for those who may not be allowed to rock some bright green/gold/rainbow/shamrock-y nails at work! If this is too wild still, you could always do these dots just on one finger. This is a dot gradient of OPI Amazon...Amazoff on top of OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around (which you need in your life. Trust me!) I am seriously loving this mod look lately! direct sun natural light indoors This was screaming at me to matte, I've really neglected my matte lately before this week! I had a feeling....and.... direct sun shade WOWZA this is my fav (below)!!! Why do I love this so much?????? indoor natural light

St. Patrick's Day nails (clover watermarble)

Image
Hi guys! Ok. Guys. This is THE HARDEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE that's nail related. I'm not even kidding! I'm not terrible at watermarbling BUT doing this clover-thingy was really getting me! I took 3 days, 9 cups, and 5 dips to get this, one that I only about 90% like. I'm calling at a win! Either my colors ran together, my clover disappeared when I tried to bring it together, I got numerous air and water bubbles, you name it. Basically every problem you could ever have watermarbling (that I don't usually have) I ran in to! I was determined to get on that was a least usable! Aside from that, how gorgeous is China Glaze Four Leaf Clover??? This was on my wish list forever and I found it at a random grocery store for super cheap. Yay! This is my first time using it! The gold is CG Angel Wings. It dries a little matte, so I added topcoat to all nails. natural light, overcast day Then I added matte topcoat to it, because I NEED to get as much mileage out...

St. Patrick's Day nails (rainbow chevron texture)

Hi! I'm just keeping the St. Paddy's Day train going! I tried to do a design like this last year and it just didn't come out right. I'm pretty sure it was before I really realized the value of scotch tape! Ha! Polishes I used here are all Zoya Pixiedusts. I scored a whole ton of them for super cheap during the Flash Promos they did this past December. Yay! Let see if I can remember them all.... green: Chita gold: Tomoko red: Chyna orange: Beatrix yellow: Solange blue: Sunshine purple: Carter gold: Tomoko Ok, I had to cheat and look again at the name of the orange one. So sue me! I'm not sure why my nail with just Tomoko looks kind of bare in the pic. It's two coats and looks totally opaque in person! direct sun Even though this next pic is in the shade and doesn't show the sparkle as much, it's my favorite! Also, how gorgous is Chita? Never gets old! shade Then I added topcoat. When adding topcoat to textures I usua...

St. Patrick's Day nails (glittery tips-variation on French manicure)

Hey guys! You sick of green nails yet? Not me! I don't give my Essie's much love lately and I'm trying to change that. This is Essie Mojito Madness with Beyond Cozy on the tips. I have a love/hate relationship with Beyond Cozy, I loooooove how sparkly and pretty it is but I've had it around a year and it is sooo goopy! I've tried to thin it and it doesn't seem to help. Sad face. shade

St. Patrick's Day nails (neutral with texture)

Hey guys! I am so loving my  pixiedusts STILL! This green is Chita. This is ONE COAT yall! I probably could have done 2 on my first finger, maybe I applied it too thin. On my ring finger is Zoya Godiva, a neutral nude sparkly Pixiedust. I've also noticed something....anytime I make shamrocks I don't join up my leaves. Weird right? shade
