Fish Scale nails for Aly's Birthday!

Image
Hello! I had kind of a crazy weekend, I meant to get this blog up yesterday! The stomach flu came through our house, I was up all night with my 6 year old and paid for it all day on Saturday! The rest of us some how seem to have escaped, so feeling very lucky! Yesterday was my friend Aly's  (  @alygaterr ) birthday! My fellow glitter gals and I got together and did these fish scale nails to celebrate her love (and skill!) for fishing! I love these birthday mani's, they are so fun. I used EIGHT polishes for this mani inspired by Kelli of The Nail Polish Challenge, all Zoyas!

AGGIE WEEK! Day 1, featuring Zoya Toni and polka dots!

Hey guys! I'm so excited for this! These posts have been months in the making....I just haven't had time to do it the way I wanted to, the right way! My goal: to showcase my absolute favorite maroon polishes, that I have currently, as well as create some cute, easy to do looks for game days or any Aggie function! Some are easier than others, but I think you will find some on every skill level! I am also keeping the accents to just one nail, because I want to showcase the polish as well. But you could absolutely do it on every nail! I'm sure I will probably be saying this every day, but this one is probably my favorite. Zoya Toni. I don't think its part of the core collection but its available on their website, and they are always having promos. It retails for $9, but if you catch the promos there's really no reason to ever pay more than $5 for Zoyas! Toni wins for color and FORMULA. Guys, it's just a dream. It could EASILY be a one coater, although I use 2 fo...

Ermagerd dots

Hey guys! Some simple dots today... kind of! These are inspired by my friend Kristin of @ermahgerdperlish  (how hilar is that name). I did these for an extra entry into a little contest she is having!  I didn't have the exact same polishes as she did but I did my best :) Wish me luck! shade

Polka Dot Nail Art with Picture Polish Bonkers and Beige!

Image
Hey guys! I have some more polka dots.....I swear dots are one of my fav ways to spruce up nails. You can use just about anything to do them, there's no waiting for a base coat to dry to tape, and they are just so classic! I used 2 more of my new Picture Polishes. Bonkers is a lovely cranberry maroon (it's maroon enough for me to call it that) and Beige is a really pretty nude with a great formula! Picture Polish

Pop neons

Hey guys!! I'm so excited to finally share these! My husband picked these up for me on a recent trip to New York...I've never heard of this brand before but they had a ton of colors! He found them in a Duane Reade in Times Square. I requested a few neons because, believe it or not, I have no neons! Well, I do have one, its a lime green Salon Perfect, and I've only used it once (for my Seattle Seahawks nails I did here ) I just love the bottles too! They are thin rectangular bottles. How awesome are these colors??? BOY ARE THEY BRIGHT!!! Pop neons This is twelve, Pinky (they are numbered and named). This is a BRIGHT pink creme. I've heard true neons dry matte? If that's the case then this is not. In all these pics on my middle finger I have just the polish alone, and on all other fingers I have a white base down first. In all pics I used 3 coats of color.  I've seen that a lot of times with neons a white base is needed to really make the colors pop bu...

Black and white dots

Image
Hello! Here's some super simple black and white dots. I did these for a contest on IG, I figured, what the heck? The theme is "Black and White".  This is also my first time using OPI Onyx, instead of my go-to Sally Hanson black. Wow it's awesome! The white is OPI Alpine Snow. shade Sometimes on IG contests you have to take a pic of your nails with a piece of paper that says stuff on it. Whatev. contest entry
