Zoya Charming collection for Spring 2017

Image
Hello! Long time no see! I have had a lot going on since my last blog. My sincere apologies to Zoya for taking longer than usual to get this blog published. I was going to do a little life update but y'all don't care about that, that's what Snapchat/Instagram/Twitter is for ;) let's get to these polishes! Which one do you think I chose to swatch last and wear for the weekend??

Lush Father Christmas bath bomb

Image
Hello! Like I said before, even though it's after Christmas I still have plenty of holiday things to post. After this one I have maybeeeee 3 or 4 more Lush Holiday items to post about (some I haven't even used yet! For shame!) so those will be coming soon. I'm going to try to get them up by the end of January. Today I have the Father Christmas bath bomb. It's pretty cute...can you get any more Christmassy??? The base pink I used was Zoya Kitridge. I really struggled with coordinating nail art for this little guy! I don't have any stamping plates that have any Santas on them, so I went with the next best thing. I chose a Christmassy sweater print from the Moyou Festive collection 06 plate. However, I had just filed my nails way down and even though these images are teeny tiny,  I still couldn't fit it on my nail! I even tried using tape to take off and add partial images, and it was just an overall fail. Talk about frustrating! I gave up and repainte...

Zoya Naturel 3 Transitional Collection Swatches and Review

Image
Hello and Happy New Year!  I wound up taking a little time off blogging over the break....as I usually do when my kids are off school although I never really plan on it! It's just hard to do when they are buzzing around. I have lots of stuff planned for 2017, hopefully I will get to it all!  Today I have the new "transitional" collection that Zoya has traditionally been putting out for the last few years. They are usually fairly neutral colors designed to take you from winter in to spring. And Some of my favorite Zoyas ever have been from these collections!

Lush Mistletoe bath bomb inspired nail art

Image
Hey guys! Merry Christmas Eve! I hope everyone is chilling at home or with family and not stressing to much ;) Today I have more information on the inspired nail art from the Lush Mistletoe bath bomb I posted about yesterday! I chose  Zoya Eden  for the darker pink and   Zoya Wednesday  for the darker green. The lighter green is  Zoya Tiana  and the lighter pink is Zoya Kitridge. I stamped with Eden and Wednesday, they worked pretty well! Here's another look at my typical yet messy setup. I set out the bath bomb and comb though my polishes for matching colors. I also have to try out each polish to find ones that stamp well since I don't have "stamping" polishes, and sometimes I have to pick out other colors that are more opaque. The plates I used are Moyou festive collection 08 for the owls and hearts and  Moyou Festive Collection 06  for the holly. I don't have a plate that has mistletoe on it, plus holly is cute...

Lush Golden Wonder bath bomb plus inspired nail art

Image
Hey guys! Today I have the Golden Wonder bath bomb from Lush. I got this one based off my in-person smell test at my local store before I made my online order. It has your typical combo of orange oil and lime oil with cognac oil. I think it's designed to smell like a cocktail but to me it comes across as a very typical Lush item smell..very clean and fresh. This bath bomb is HUGE!! I don't know if it really translates in the picture but it's way bigger than the regular round bath bombs. It's also covered in lustre....which y'all know is not really my bag. I had a hard time figuring a way to hold if for the pictures and I kept getting it all over myself. It made me kind of dread the bath, even though it's so pretty and smells so good! When you put it in the water it starts fizzing immediately and turns the water yellow. Luckily,  surprisingly bright turquoise bubbles come out quickly and start transforming the water. Golden Wonde...

Lush Peeping Santa inspired nail art

Image
Hey guys! Today I have more on the mani I posted about  yesterday  inspired by the Lush Peeping Santa bubble bar. He's just so cute, it was a no brainer when I was searching for things to inspire nail art! I started with Zoya Aphrodite  (red), Purity  (white), and Codie (brown) for my color pallet. I used latex because you can't mess around with red-it loves to stain your cuticles! My original idea was to use the candy cane striped image on the  Moyou Festive collection 06 plate . I practiced several times on paper..... Guys. I tried. Like, 3 times. It kept getting that fold/wrinkle in it! How infuriating! And in different places every time. Every time of repainting that nail, waiting to dry, the whole thing. Am I pressing too hard? My base layer not dry enough? Ugh, I finally gave up and just painted that nail red. I went ahead with the other nail while I was waiting for the first one to dry and used nail vinyls to tape of...

Falling leaves mani stamped with Pueen

Image
Hey guys! Happy last day of November! I figured it needed to get this post live before Christmas Nails season begins (happy dance). I wore this about 6 weeks ago, and I'm just now getting it up here! Mostly because I filmed the process, I haven't been filming lately but I'm still working on a good method for me. This was one of the first mani's I did with my new Pueen stamping plates I ordered off Amazon! I have been having alot of fun with them. outdoors For the leaves I used a mixture of Zoya Courtney, Cam, Darcy, and Wyatt. The nude base is Cala and the gold is Levi, which picked up on my stamper fairly well. indoors Check out the video to see how I achieved the mixing of the colors on the plate :) (Drumroll) I even did my right hand! I usually never have nailart on my right hand because using vinyls takes too long and I pretty  much can't even use a dotting tool with my left hand. Stamping has opened up a whole new world! Matching nail ...

Lush Lord of Misrule bath bomb inspired nail art featuring Zoya

Image
Hello! Today I have a little post with more detail about the matching mani I did for the Lush Lord of Misrule bath bomb from the holiday collection! This bath bomb has quite the reputation and I was really excited to finally get one and try it out! Check out my post  yesterday to see the review. I went back and forth on what design to do since there is really no character to this bath bomb. I was originally going to do a splatter design but then my first Moyou order came in and even though its mostly holiday-ish, I was determined to find something I could use! I settled on the Enchanted Collection 06 plate, which was part of the holiday bundle I ordered. I probably wouldn't have ordered it on it own, but I'm glad I have it! Polishes I used are, from left: all Zoya Ness, Tiana, Vespa, Nana, Arabella This is what I usually do before stamping on my nails, I play around with polishes and stamp on paper. The wolf and leaves are on the Moyou plate and the butterf...

500th Post.....Lush Lord of Misrule bath bomb with coordinating nails!

Image
Hey guys! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Guess what... this is my 500th published post! I've been blogging for 6 1/2 years and it's been a ride! Today I have some more Lush nail art. The Lord of Misrule bath bomb is one I heard tons about as soon as I started getting into Lush. I ordered it as soon as the holiday line came out! It's usually only available during the holiday season. I wasn't sure which design to land on to coordinate, but when I finally chose an idea I was happy with the result! Be sure to check back tomorrow for lots more on this mani! This is a really fun bath bomb to watch in action.... check it out! I used my new Moyou Enchanted stamping plate to create this look, check back tomorrow for more details on this mani! This bath bomb contains Vanilla and Black pepper oils as its first few ingredients....which sound like an interesting combo. Mostly I just picked up a clean and simple fragrance. I did take forever to ...

Disney's Moana inspired nail art with stamping!

Image
Hello and Happy Thanksgiving week! Who's excited about Moana coming out tomorrow??? We were planning on seeing it tomorrow but now we will have to wait a few days. We love all things Hawaii and Disney so when we first heard about this movie ages ago we were so pumped! It looks really amazing and I hope it does well at the box office! I got the idea last night after I saw something about Moana on the internet and remembered my new Moyou Tourist plate I just purchased...it's Hawaii themed. There was so many I wanted, including an Australian one, but a girl has to stop somewhere loading her cart ;) I sketched out some ideas and got to work! We all know the main reason I am getting into stamping is that I can not free hand anything. The little bit I used to be able to do I can't anymore. So there was no spelling out her name or painting her face. But there was plenty on the plate to work with! This is what it looks like....heart eyes! Here ar...

Lush Green bubbleroon review and Zoya Josie

Image
Hello! Back to my Lush reviews as well today! This is the Green bubbleroon, which is a bubble bar similar to the pink Rose Jam one with a creamy moisturizing center. Green is being discontinued, it's already not available on the UK website but it's still on the US app and probably in stores :( so I went ahead and ordered 2 right off the bat, figuring I would like it! On my nails is Zoya Josie (one of my favorite Zoya greens!!)  and Leia (holographic topcoat). Green smells really really good! The  main notes are Juniperberry, Bergamot and Lime oils, with cocoa butter. It pairs really well with my all time fav Avobath. And it makes the water an awesome shade of blue green...heart eyes! I only use 1/4 of it at a time...you can see in the video below the small portion I used and the huge amount of bubbles it made! Checkout the video to see the tiny size of product I used and the huge amount of bubbles it made! I'm glad I ordered 2 of these, next t...
