Lush Guardian of the Forest bath bomb review PLUS matching Zoya manicure!

Image
Hey guys! Today's the first official Lush review from me! I have lots of different stuff coming up, content wise, and I hope you guys enjoy some variety. I know I do! My Lush reviews will be a little different...I'm not going to be getting in-depth as to the "notes" of the scents and when they decide to appear and on what level using these products, yadda yadda yadda. There's plenty of other sites for that as well as the Lush websites. What I WILL be doing is giving a regular-person impression of the products, what I think they smell like in laymans terms, and if I would repurchase them (the ultimate judgement!) I've also been having fun creating mani's that match them :) I'm starting with the Guardian of the Forest bath bomb-lets go!   Guardian of the Forest

Cuticle Glaze oil review!

Image
Hey guys! Wow! It's been a while :( My last published blog was over 2 weeks ago!) It feels longer than that. Right from Christmas I just got super busy preparing for the holidays and getting gifts for a Secret Santa Exhange I was in (do yall want a full post on that?) and just the way life seems to explode with business when December 1st hits. Then last Tuesday I decided to trip and break a bone. my poor toe. My first broken bone ever! And THEN 2 days later I came down with a crazy stomach virus that kept me in bed all weekend. Sheesh! So I'm way behind on things and I won't be back to blogging super regularly until after the holidays, probably. But I have a few up my sleeve! Today I have a review! My friend Danele over at Low Country Lacquer  started tinkering with oils this summer and came up with a really awesome cuticle oil! She gave some to me and a few others to try out for a while. And let me tell you, it's awesome! It's all I have been using pretty much si...

Feather Nails

Image
Hey guys! I'm just still working through 2 projects....using all of my polishes I have and documenting them here on the blog (I have many that were used before I relaunched here but they don't count for these purposes) and tackling my long list of different art themes/techniques to try! Feathers have been on my list for a while but I have been quite intimidated to try them. One of the current prompts for the Nail It! Magazine is Feathers, so I thought I'd give it a go. I used all the polishes listed below and some fine detailing brushes sent to me by Winstonia Store . For the final look I used a matte topcoat, which wound up looking much better. I don't totally love these, but I don't hate them either? Meh. sun

Tribal Nails and Winstonia Brushes Review

Image
Hey guys! Today I have my official review of the Winstonia nail art brushes  I was sent (although there's another one coming up!) My fine detailing skills are severely lacking and boy was I excited to get these! This mani is part of a Mani Swap I did with my friend Judy over at @Judyrox . She is all the way over in Spain! One of my favorite things about this crazy world of doing nails is getting to know  people all over the world, on line and in person! I just would have never of guessed  I would be in such a scenario! Anyhoo-as soon as I received these brushes I went straight to Judy's page for inspiration...because she is the Queen of these kind of tribal nails in my book! I figured, why not just go for it and try something super hard, right? She graciously agreed to let me copy one of her designs :) sun

Barbie Nails with OPI Mustang and Water decals!

Image
Hey guys! I have more Born Pretty Store  decals to review today! I've had an idea to do a vintage Barbie-inspired look for a long time! If yall forgot, the first Barbie that ever came out had a zebra stripe bathing suit on-so ahead of her time, yes? I also am trying out some new nail art brushes from Winstonia Store  and I will have more posts coming up on those! shade For this look, I started with Pink, Black and White polishes. The pink is called Girls Love Ponies from the new OPI Mustang Line...which I am jonesing for all of! My lovely friend Marcella of @lovepurplepolish gave this to me when I met her last week! How awesome is she? The black and white are OPI Black Onyx and Alpine Snow. Next, I added chunky black and white matte glitter called Black Tie Optional from Hard Candy. I used the  Winstonia striper brush (which I was sorely in need of! ) to paint zebra stripes on my first finger. Then I cut out a Barbie silhouette and dipped it water, slid ...
