Hello! I know it's after Christmas but I still have holiday things to post :) Today I have a mani I did well before Christmas but never got to write about it and post it. I got the idea to do different holiday themes of my most popular mani ever, my Mickey nails! You can see the original post  HERE from 2014   way back from 3 years ago! (don't laugh at them) And then my  Thanksgiving 2016 version here.  Today I have the Christmas version! Christmas Mickey and Minnie nails The polishes I used are: Lighter shimmery red: OPI Innie Minnie Mighty Bow Green: OPI Jade is the New Black Darker red glitter jelly: OPI Underneath the Mistletoe OPI Black Onyx   (black) and OPI Alpine Snow   (white under the buttons) Red Texture: OPI Magazine Cover Mouse (which is one of my fav textures and I use all the time!) Lush Peeping Santa inspired nail art

Image
Hey guys! Today I have more on the mani I posted about  yesterday  inspired by the Lush Peeping Santa bubble bar. He's just so cute, it was a no brainer when I was searching for things to inspire nail art! I started with Zoya Aphrodite  (red), Purity  (white), and Codie (brown) for my color pallet. I used latex because you can't mess around with red-it loves to stain your cuticles! My original idea was to use the candy cane striped image on the  Moyou Festive collection 06 plate . I practiced several times on paper..... Guys. I tried. Like, 3 times. It kept getting that fold/wrinkle in it! How infuriating! And in different places every time. Every time of repainting that nail, waiting to dry, the whole thing. Am I pressing too hard? My base layer not dry enough? Ugh, I finally gave up and just painted that nail red. I went ahead with the other nail while I was waiting for the first one to dry and used nail vinyls to tape of...

First time stamping snowflakes!

Image
Hello! Today I have more adventures in me getting into stamping. This is the mani I wore all last weekend. I was really feeling neutral and brown so I decided to dig through my Essies! The lighting was really terrible out-gray and cloudy. bleh. I used Mochacino (brown sparkly, untried), Parka Perfect (dusty blue, untried), Sand Tropez (nude) and Beyond Cozy (glitter). The plate I used is Moyou Festive 02, which is all single snowflakes. I just love it, but man is there a knack to picking up the whole image, especially when you aren't using polish specifically made for stamping! Some of those snowflakes have such detail engraved in them. Those fine detailed designs are definitely harder to get on the stamper than the regular ones. These polishes stamped fairly well, considering. indoor lights Overall I was pretty happy with this mani, especially since I was able to duplicate this on my right hand too! Point -> Stamping! I still have a lot of work to go.

Snowman nails with Zoya Dream

Hey guys! Today I have a mani I did months ago for Nail It Mag! They ask for submissions months ahead of time so you find yourselves doing holiday manis in the summer! Crazy! One of the prompts was for "winter" so I new I wanted to redo my most-pinned mani from last year (it's getting close to 1,000 pins! That's a lot for little ol me!) And what do you know this is the one of mine they selected to be in the December issue! I didn't take any pictures or video when I did this but I am thinking of making a video tutorial for them, let me know if yall want to see one! Polishes used: base: Zoya Dream white: OPI Alpine Snow White for snowman: OPI Solitare Orange for snowman: Zoya Beatrix black for snowman: OPI Emotions This is last years version (2013). Not too completely terrible?? My nail shape and picture taking have improved dramatically so that makes for a huge difference in pics. I used almost all the same polishes though!
