Zoya Paradise Sun collection for Summer 2015: Swatches and Review

Image
Hey guys! Today I have the second half of Zoya's Summer collection! If you missed the first half--the crèmes--you can see them HERE :) This collection consists of shimmers, and most of them are siblings to the crème versions in the Island Fun set! I'm usually a person who will pick a crème over a shimmer any day of the week, but I actually like these more! WHAT! That's a first for me. These polishes-especially a few in particular-literally feel like they glow on the nail. Maybe I will be a shimmer convert after this! Lets get into it! Zoya Paradise Sun 2015

Zoya Island Fun for Summer 2015 swatches and review!

Image
Hey guys! Today I have the first half of Zoya's summer collection, called "Island Fun"! This is a good collection of crèmes with some staple colors, and I am loving the tropical names of the collections :) But the polishes themselves don't have tropical names, bummer haha. I didn't include comparisons this time, but if any of you want to see them, be sure to let me know in the comments! Click Read More after the collage for the review! Island Fun collection 2015

Pipe Deam Polish: A Night in Vegas Collection: The cremes plus swatch art!

Image
Hey guys! I have some fun swatches for you today! This is 7 of 11 polishes I won in a massive Instagram giveaway....I still can't believe it! These neons are so amazing, the formula is amazing and they need no white base. They dry matte like true neons, so I did use topcoat for all pics. I practiced "swatch art" and worked these in the the 2nd part of the 31 day challenge... you know the one that I totally quit after day 20 :( I will be doing more of them this month, but anyway! I listed the polish names under the pics, and these polishes are all made by the lovely April right here in Tennessee! Her site is RIGHT HERE!  These polishes are all 7 of the crèmes (there's also 4 glitters) from her "Night in Vegas" collection :) Did I mention these polishes are amazing? Some of these pics are under my new lamps (because fall/winter here means days upon days of gray skies, so I'm experimenting with indoor lighting) and some are outside, some my nails are l...

Zoya Naturel2 Collection for Fall 2014 Swatches and Review!

Image
Hey guys! Tons of pics today, hope that's ok!!!!! Today I have the new Zoya Naturel2 collection, which they are calling a "transitional" collection, which is perfect! I know I'm not the only one not ready to give up the bright colors yet! This is a follow up to their spring Naturel collection, which was light colored nudes. I only have a couple of them, Taylor, which I talked about here,  and   Odette, which I talked about here.  I just love them so much and wish I had all 6!!! Next promo, right?! They are already on my wish list in my Zoya account ;) Zoya Naturel 2

Drip Drop Nail Paint in A'hoye Amy

Image
Hey guys!  Let's start with a PSA....If you don't like blue polish, you should just stop reading this now. ok? good? OK. GUYS. LOOK. sun This is Drip Drop Nail Paint in A'hoye Amy, an "indie" brand and my first of this brand. It was a gift from my friend Danele of @lowcountrylacquer . She thought I would get more use out of it and she was right! Holy MOLY! It's so pretty!!! And guess what else....this is ONE COAT of the blue. I'm not even kidding. I added a small accent nail with striping tape and OPI liquid sand in It's Frosty Outside, one of my favs for this type of thing. It didn't come out as clean as the last time I did this design here because I was super distracted but I still like it! sun Here are some pics of it before I added the silver. I'll be quiet now and let you take it in.   sun sun Did I mention that this is one coat? Ok. Just wanted to be sure I mentioned it. shade shade   ...

Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean

Image
Hey guys! I have a quick swatch of another of my indie polishes. This is Girly Bits Cosmetic Ocean, its a blue/green holographic topper in a sheer blue jelly base. Most people I've seen wear this use it over a dark base so I wanted to do something different! This is 2 coats of OPI My Pointe Exactly (a sheer gray jelly) and 2 coats of Cosmic Ocean. What do yall think? I'm thinking I should have just done it over light blue like I planned. shade

Pipe Dream Polish Electric Soul

Image
Hey guys! I have just a quick swatch for you...this is Pipe Dream Electric Soul, one of my first "Indies" or Independent Nail polish! It's a purple jelly with tiny flecks of blue in it. I just love it! shade

Zoya Summer 2014 PixieDust Swatches and Review!

Image
Hey Guys! Things have been crazy for the past week since school has been out. I don't know how I'm going to keep up blogging during the summer but I'm sure gonna try! I've had these for a week and and am just now getting to swatch them and get them up here! Today I have the newest of the Zoya PixieDusts! They are continuing with the "Magical Pixie" formula that debuted earlier this year. I picked those up during the Zoya Earth Day Sale so I would have them to compare with these! :) I haven't swatched them officially here but I have used them in a few tape mani's! (you can see them here with Lux and here with Vega )  I did include them in the bottle shots at the end for comparison! The formulas on these are very consistent. There are larger chunks and fine pieces of the pixie dust in tinted jelly bases. They are definitely "chunkier" than the original Pixie Dusts, and really sparkly. For me they have more the consistency of a glitter top...

Zoya Tickled Collection Summer 2014 Swatches, Review and Comparisons

Image
Hey guys! Today I have half of the new Zoya summer collection, called the Tickled Collection! It consists of 6 bright and cheery cremes! There's a ton of pictures so I'll keep the chit chat to a minimum...except to say WOWZA aren't they pretty? Final thoughts at the end! Zoya Tickled Collection 2014 I will say this to start...all swatches have 2 coats of color over one thin coat of ridge-filling basecoat. That is how I tend to wear all  my mani's so I wanted to be consistent! Also, the formula on all of them is really consistent, pretty thick (standard for a creme) and almost one-coaters with the exception of Kitridge. First up is Rocha, a red-orange creme. I will say in some swatches I've seen it looked pretty red, but to me in reality it is and even split on the red/orange line. Yall know how I am about orange, but I don't mind this! Applied like a dream. sun shade For the comparison, can I get a quick pat on the back for having an...
