Feather Nails

Hey guys! I'm just still working through 2 projects....using all of my polishes I have and documenting them here on the blog (I have many that were used before I relaunched here but they don't count for these purposes) and tackling my long list of different art themes/techniques to try!

Feathers have been on my list for a while but I have been quite intimidated to try them. One of the current prompts for the Nail It! Magazine is Feathers, so I thought I'd give it a go. I used all the polishes listed below and some fine detailing brushes sent to me by Winstonia Store. For the final look I used a matte topcoat, which wound up looking much better. I don't totally love these, but I don't hate them either? Meh.

Today kicks off my own "use up your untrieds" initiative, so I can stop hijacking others' tags! I'm calling it The ADIB Project. My goal is to use at least one untried in every mani until I get through all them! Hopefully it will keep my wallet CLOSED. I'll talk about it again several times this week ;) I invite everyone to join!

All OPI Polishes used, untrieds marked with *

base color: I Don't Give a Rotterdam!*
white: My Boyfriend Scales Walls (MBSW)
dark gray: Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!*
black: Black Onyx
silver: This Gown Needs a Crown

The following are with a glossy topcoat (SV) before I added matte. Surprisingly enough, you can't really tell in the pics, but they just didn't look great. The gloss was counteracting with the shimmer in IDGAR. But I thought I'd include them anyway!
