Zoya Tickled Collection 2014 |
I will say this to start...all swatches have 2 coats of color over one thin coat of ridge-filling basecoat. That is how I tend to wear all my mani's so I wanted to be consistent! Also, the formula on all of them is really consistent, pretty thick (standard for a creme) and almost one-coaters with the exception of Kitridge.
First up is Rocha, a red-orange creme. I will say in some swatches I've seen it looked pretty red, but to me in reality it is and even split on the red/orange line. Yall know how I am about orange, but I don't mind this! Applied like a dream.

For the comparison, can I get a quick pat on the back for having anything similar to this in my collection?? The one and only that came close is Nicole by OPI Half Charming Half Alarming, from their Tinkerbell collection of 2013. The NOPI formul was MUCH thinner, this is 3 coats. The formula difference accounts for some of the nuance, but they are pretty close, no?
In the pictures below my index and middle finger have the NOPI and ring and pinky have Rocha.
( I just realized that I didn't go back and label the comparison pics with text on the actual picture....sorry guys)

Next up is Kitridge, a baby-barbie type bright pink. Barbie fingers!

For comparisons I have:
index-Essie Pink Works
middle-OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian
ring-Zoya Kitridge
pinky-OPI Chic from Ears to Tail
In Pink Works and Chic, there's a faint shimmer in there that you can barely see in person, much less in a picture. Color wise they are similar but the formula is much thinner, I used 3 coats on those.

Next up is Wendy, a salmon pink. I don't have any comparisons for this, definitely one of kind in my stash!

Ahhhhh who doesn't love a good green creme?? This is Tilda, and wow isn't she pretty?? Honestly while I was inside applying this, looking at the bottle next to it's comparisons, I was kind of unsure of the tone....and then I went outside. So so pretty and bright! Application was perfect!

Here's the comparisons for Tilda:
index: Zoya Wednesday
middle: Zoya Josie
ring: Zoya Tilda
pinky: Essie Mojito Madness
The first 2, Wednesday and Josie, I just got from the Zoya Earth Day sale and hadn't even cracked them open! I may or may not have gotten Josie just for this comparison :) And it's pretty tooooo!
I think I held off on it bc I had MM and I knew they were similar.
(again, sorry for not having text on the picture)

Next up is the belle of the ball for me....Ling. The most beautiful blue of them all. If you follow me on Instagram you've already seen me going on and on and on and on.........

index-Zoya Edie (from the Peter Som set)
middle-Zoya Breezi
ring-Zoya Ling
pinky-OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui
You can see that Ling is brighter than Breezi, which is a little dustier. (And Breezi really is very similar to the OPI, but I don't care. DID YOU HEAR ME I SAID I DON'T CARE!)
This picture makes me so happy! Blueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees

Lastly is Rooney, a raspberry pink. This one is way more my speed in the pink department! Love love love! If I'm going to wear pink, and I don't often, it's one in this family.

As much as I love this color I only had one in my collection that comes even close, and that's OPI Shorts Story, shown on my first 2 fingers. Zoya Rooney on ring and pinky.

Final thoughts:
This is a beautiful collection! So bright and cheery and perfect for summer. The formula is thick and opaque with out being goopy. Some of these, especially Ling and Rooney are almost one-coaters.
My favs of the collection are Ling, Rooney, and Tilda, in that order!
The Zoya Tickled collection is available on Zoya.com for 9.00, see their site for in-store retailers!
