Peter som block

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for this post! I have been waiting forever and it has been sooooo hard! My friend Alaina from The Little Canvas is featuring ME as the Nail Artist of the Month on her blog! She was pretty much the first friend I made in this new world and her designs are super cute!

For the post I decided to do what is probably my favorite look, color blocking! I used all 3 of the Zoya Peter Som Trio polishes I just got recently! You can see individual swatches of them HERE!
I just love how this came out, obviously! using striping tape can be a little tricky, and I still especially have trouble with creme polishes! But I'm getting better :) I have a quick little tutorial at the end!

I started with 2 coats of Zoya Purity as my basecoat. I let it dry for several hours before I taped.

When you are ready to tape, it helps to have your tape pieces cut up ahead of time. I just stick them to the front of my desk (which needs to be cleaned, ugh!)

Fill in the squares and remove the tape as quickly as possible! That's it! I do one nail at a time. Don't forget to clean up the edges!

If I could do colorblocking all in one sitting I swear I'd do it every day!
