Lush Guardian of the Forest bath bomb review PLUS matching Zoya manicure!

Image
Hey guys! Today's the first official Lush review from me! I have lots of different stuff coming up, content wise, and I hope you guys enjoy some variety. I know I do! My Lush reviews will be a little different...I'm not going to be getting in-depth as to the "notes" of the scents and when they decide to appear and on what level using these products, yadda yadda yadda. There's plenty of other sites for that as well as the Lush websites. What I WILL be doing is giving a regular-person impression of the products, what I think they smell like in laymans terms, and if I would repurchase them (the ultimate judgement!) I've also been having fun creating mani's that match them :) I'm starting with the Guardian of the Forest bath bomb-lets go!   Guardian of the Forest

Tribal Nails and Winstonia Brushes Review

Image
Hey guys! Today I have my official review of the Winstonia nail art brushes  I was sent (although there's another one coming up!) My fine detailing skills are severely lacking and boy was I excited to get these! This mani is part of a Mani Swap I did with my friend Judy over at @Judyrox . She is all the way over in Spain! One of my favorite things about this crazy world of doing nails is getting to know  people all over the world, on line and in person! I just would have never of guessed  I would be in such a scenario! Anyhoo-as soon as I received these brushes I went straight to Judy's page for inspiration...because she is the Queen of these kind of tribal nails in my book! I figured, why not just go for it and try something super hard, right? She graciously agreed to let me copy one of her designs :) sun

Jamberry ombre

Image
Hey guys! I have another Jamberry post for you! In addition to the sample set I received and reviewed here . I have a full set of pink ombre. I am so terrible at ombre with polish so I was excited to get these! I wanted to show different ways you can use these. First up is just wearing the full set. I did have better luck with them laying flatter by stretching them while applying. sun Next is using the Jamberries as your main nail and using glitter as an accent. This is a way you can stretch your set! Glitter shown is OPI Excuse Moi. sun Finally I have 2 Jamberries flanking texture. This a really fun way to mix it up! Polish shown is OPI Pussy Galore, a pale pink sparkly texture. sun Jamberry Nails are nail wraps you can apply at home in fifteen minutes or less!! Lasting up to 2 weeks on fingernails and up to 6 weeks on toenails, these heat-activated beauties are sure to become a staple in your wardrobe . Sally Girl Ice Cream Shoppe Collection Swatches and Review

Image
Happy Wednesday! Today I have swatches of the new little mini-set of  Ice Cream Shoppe polishes from Sally Beauty Supply. I don't buy mini's often, and especially these, but they were too cute to pass up! Ice Cream Shoppe collection First up is Chocolate Chip. (BTW the names are not on the bottle, grrr, I went with what the display said! There's a pic of it at the end.) This was the most sheer of all. I even used a ridge filling basecoat and it STILL took 3 generous coats and could still probably use more. I would definitely recommend using a white base under this. That being said, how cute! Reminds me of Oreos! sun shade Next up is Cherry Chip. This is 2 coats, no base or top coat. All of these dried a little matte for me, I would use a topcoat if I was wearing long term. All the rest of these are much more opaque than the white. sun shade Next is Mint Chip. Mint chocolate chip ice cream was my FAV as a kid. True for everyone, ye...

OPI Brazil 2014--My picks, Comparisons, and Art! (Part 1: The Brights)

Image
Hey guys! Happy Hump Day! Who else beside me is is SOOOO excited for these Brazils??? I've been waiting FOREVER for these to come out and they are finally here! I'm breaking up my posts on this collection into 3 parts: The Brights, The Nudes, and the Sands. Each one will have some nail art also using those colors! I don't have the entire collection..... I purchased these myself so I had to think long and hard about which ones I really wanted. I decided to skip out on the red, the coral-y red, the darker orange, and the purple-y shimmer. (like how technical I am?) The ones I chose are truly unique in my collection, plus I love them so much. Even more now that I've worn them!  They are all cremes....and apply like a DREAM. What we've come to know and expect from OPI. I also wanted to include some quick comparisons in these posts. I don't have a ginormous amount of polish, but I do sorta have a lot of OPI, so I started there. I just love seeing and reading comp...

Jamberry Nail Wraps (Review)

Image
Hey guys! I have a review for you today!  I received some Jamberry Nail Wraps for review. I've never used any kind of nail wrap before, nor do I know very much about them, so I was up for the challenge! I know they are commonly used on all fingers, but I thought they could have infinite possibilities as "accent nails" and PLUS they would last longer!! Here's a quick look at the ones I used first: Jamberry Nail Wraps as Accents Here is the sample sheet I received. I also have a full (matching set) I will be reviewing in a couple weeks! It's a pink ombre, I'm pretty excited because we all know how terrible I am at gradients! These are various patterns in various sizes for different sized nails. Basically, you old them Over your nail (the backing is clear) and choose one that fits. You heat them with a blow dryer (or the Jamberry brand mini-heater) and apply them like decals to your nails. You cut them in half so each one can be used twice. Bonus! Very...
