Aggies Do It Better

I suppose many have been wondering!!! We did decide to find out at my ultrasound a couple weeks ago. And guess what??? Can yall believe it!! My oldest gave a fist pump and shouted "Yesssssss!" How cute is that? We are excited-albeit it took me a little bit to process! THREE BOYS! Oh man! I guess I'm equipped to handle that! How much different can it be? (Don't answer that.) The best part is, I still have about 99% of all the baby boy stuff from other boys, so we pretty much don't need to buy any baby clothes....ever. I am a little sad that we won't be having a girl, I'd be lying if I said otherwise. But I know everything happens for a reason, and this little boy has been chosen to have me as a mom and I'm sure he will be make a big difference in the world. Hello, out there! I can't believe I haven't blogged anything since November 30. I just got so busy with "life" stuff, traveling for both the holidays and all that entails, plus Christmas here, plus as soon as we got back we all got snowed in for a week and got the flu for 2 weeks! Plus, I've been extremely frustrated with my computer, it's a laptop that's about 7 years old and on it's last leg. It makes me not want to be on it AT ALL. Hopefully we will be able to get a new one soon. I've also been reorganizing and declutterifying this house, top to bottom. We don't have much storage space, and not even everything is unpacked since we moved 8 months ago. I sort of just decided, if we don't have room for it, then we don't need it! Whew! Let's start at the top, shall we? Sunday: Acquire and assemble #2's Big Boy Bed. All are excited. The deciding factor on doing this is his apparent readiness to potty train. Although, the thought of him not being contained in his crib makes the mama cringe a little. Ok, a lot. *See sidebar child description. Sunday Night: First night attempt in the Big Boy Bed. Of course, he is out repeatedly. Immediately. The mama sits in room for HOUR AND A HALF. Then turns over to Dad for relief. Eventually #2 settles down after 2 hours. Deemed mildly successful. Seeing as how #1 put himself in the Big Boy Bed at this same age with NO battle, we are hopeful. Monday Naptime: #2 gets out of bed repeatedly for 2 hours. Mama calls Time Of Death on naptime at 2 hours. Prepares stiff drink for evening ahead with #2's alter, THE CRANKY BEAST. Well, we decided to postpone our garage sale to next weekend. Because who are we kidding, we are SOOOO not ready. And also, I have gotten several really bad sinus headaches this week, I'm not sure why, maybe is the storms we have had rolling through here. So I haven't gotten that much done. This morning I had a doozy. Normally, afternoons while #2 naps are spent with me trying to get things done around the house and trying to keep The One With The Short Attention Span entertained. So, this afternoon, I was going to attempt my twice-a-year afternoon nap, which also means having to persuade #1 to nap also. Husband promised some big "surprise" to him as we was leaving for work, so as soon as naptime arrived, #1 jumped into our bed and was ready for it.
