Election Day Manicure
But I do have a new hobby. This is what happened when my husband recently went to visit his family overseas for 10 days. Gotta entertain myself somehow! I stumbled across some really coooool manicures looking at Halloween stuff on google images. And now I'm pretty much obsessed. Along with my mini-midlife crisis of becoming waaaaay more girly lately. Turning 35 with an all-boy household will do that to ya! So I may be posting them here for anyone else who is into this sort of thing. It's a little bit addicting :)
You can also follow @NailsByAnAggie on twitter for more pics. There's tons of ideas out there!
First up is my Election Day mani-regardless of your affiliation, get out and Rock the Vote! But as you can see I'm clearly *not* bi-partisan :) Who says Katy Perry gets to have all the fun???

Fruit Quesadillas
Looking for a quick and easy summer lunch or dinner for your kids? Every once in a while, I ask my boys what they would like for dinner. It’s always amusing what they request. One requested cheese quesadillas, and one requested a banana rolled up in a tortilla with peanut butter. This came to me as a way to combine the two! Plus, my kids aren’t big veggie eaters, even though we are working on it every day, but we are HUGE fruit eaters to make up for it. They will pretty much eat any fruit, and in mass quantities.
This took only a couple minutes to make. Start with 2 tortillas, and spread each with a little cream cheese. Straight from the block, there’s no need to sweeten it. Then place thin slices of almost any fruit on one of them. I used strawberry, banana, and blueberry because that’s what I had on hand. Apple or kiwi would also be great. Watermelon, probably not so much. Try to keep it in a single layer or it won’t hold together. Kind of press the fruit into the cream cheese.
Sandwich them together and slice up!
If you have a few more minutes, here’s a variation. Melt about a tablespoon of unsalted butter in a pan. Then put that baby in there and fry it up on both sides. It melts the cream cheese a tiny bit, the butter forms a french-toast tasting crust and the fruit inside softens a bit.
Deeeeelicious.
I split these between the boys and asked them which they liked the best. They seemed to like both equally!
Enjoy!

Back from hiatus!
Hello! Well, 7 months is a long time to be gone, but….I’ve been a little busy! Here’s our newest addition. He was born December 8, 7 days overdue. Would have been longer if he had anything to do with it. My womb must be quite the hospitable place! He’s a bit bigger now, almost 6 months old. Having 3 kids is i…..n…..s……a……n…..e. I’ve been very much looking forward to the summer break so that we could not have to keep such a “schedule”. The big boys have been doing GREAT with the little one, especially #1. We haven’t really had any issues and hope it stays that way. Baby is FASCINATED with his big brothers, it’s quite amusing how much he watches them.
I’m starting to get back to the baking business, but I may not be able to work as much as I was before for maybe 6 more months. I have done a few small projects, I’ll get them on here! I have lots to share and tons of upcoming projects!
