New To Me Indies--brand intro and swatches (Superchic Lacquer, Lacquerlicious, and Polished for Days)

Image
Hello! Today I have more new stuff! These are 3 polishes given to me by a friend that's not polishing so much anymore. All new to me brands! Since I only have one each of these brands I thought I'd combine them all into one little review post. First is Superchic Lacquer "Royal Pain in the Ice" a sheer cobalt blue glittery crème. This is 3 coats plus topcoat. I'm not sure if this is meant to be a topper or just a jelly type to be layered? I felt like it was still pretty sheer at 3 coats so I stopped. I will try it next over a few different blue shades. Royal Pain in the Ice I'm profiling the brushes because it's an important feature to me! The brush here is flat and wide, the best kind (yay) brush Look at this crazy bottle though! It's like it's triangle but then it's square! Totally unique. It looks like a superman logo to me, I'm pretty sure that's by design, and since Superman kicks all the other super hero's butt...

Pipe Down This Love Is Bliss box- January 2015

Image
Hey guys! I don't know why I'm so tardy getting this post up but seeing as how I have the April box to blog about I feel like I should post this first! haha! I posted this mani awhile ago on Instagram. I created a little mani with all 4 of these polishes...they go so well together! I suppose I may swatch these on their own at some point! I used the Pipe dream polish in another mani since that I posted here  ! It has been really fun in the past few months getting more interested in and experience with indie polish brands! You really have the opportunity to get to know the makers, and they share your passion because they are polish lovers too. The theme in this box was "Baby it's Cold Outside" so all of them are wintery themed and named :) (ps.....these polishes are no longer available! sorryyyyyyy!!! They only make about 35-40 sets of these, and it can get quite competitive getting your hands on one if you decide to get it!) The polishes in this box are: the ...

Bliss Polish LE Starbucks Swap polish!

Image
Hey guys! Today I have my first nail art (well, on one nail anyway) since Valentines Day! I can't believe it. Well, actually, I can. Moving and unpacking and being still in the middle of the school year has been insane! But I'm finally at the point where I've done enough unpacking where I feel like I can devote a little time to my nails again. Hooray! Bliss is a brand that is still a little new to me, I only have one before this and its from the January "Pipe Down this Love is Bliss" box  (which I never got around to doing a post on but I will soon AND I picked up the April box too!) Yvette of Bliss Polish has been a woman on a mission to collect all of the Starbucks "You Are Here" mugs (yall saw the one I have in this post about my new coffee routine. ) She has an amazing collection so far! She reached out that she still needed a few and Nashville was on the list because the first person to offer it didn't pan out. In return she is offering a mu...

Shop Eighty 4 thermal polishes

Image
Hey guys! Quick post for today. A friend sent me these temperature thermal polishes because I have been wanting some forever! These are Shop  Eighty 4 Berrly There (sheer pink transitions to cranberry red) and The Sea (blue transitions to teal) I wanted to do some art combining the 2 much like I did with the Funky Fingers solar changing polishes...but I didn't have much luck! I think I read that temperature polishes do have a shelf life on them, I'm not sure what it is, but these aren't that old. I dipped my fingers in hot and cold water and saw no change really. I also meant to do my chevrons differently on purpose, but I don't think they came out like I envisioned. The blue polish is totally gorgeous and I will definitely wear it on its own like a regular polish again. Ah well, chalking this up to a big giant nail fail and moving on! shade shade

Emma Jean polish with Bird decals review!

Image
Hello! I have more new stuff yay! I apologize for the state of my cuticles...my hands have not yet recovered from my travels :) This beautiful blue polish was gifted to me by my friend Gianna of Nailstorming! It's my first scented polish...I never got any of the Revlons that came around. I have to say...its super weird haha! This is called Fresh Off the Clothes Line...and it totally does smell like "dryer sheets" when it starts to dry a little! So crazy right! It's a beautiful powder blue and I love it....obviously. It was a little thin on the first coat but filled in surprisingly well on the second! shade This super cute bird is a water decal! I used 2 here for this look...one bird and one flower I added second. These were sent to me from Born Pretty Store to review and I am having a lot of fun with them! The direct link for this sheet is here.   I am really happy with the way it came out! All you do is cut out the part you want to use from the small s...
