31DC2014: Part one ... The colors!

Hey guys! Long time no Blog! I've been taking a little break from blogging to get some things done around the house...nothing exciting, just some cleaning and reorganization!  After much deliberation, and I mean MUCH, I decided to do this year's 31 Day Challenge started a few years ago by Sarah of Chalkboard Nails. I did this last year, it was the reason I started my Instagram account! I was only doing my own nails off and on for about a year, and like I've said before, I NEVER would have thought this all would turn into what is has.

So I've been doing these prompts, but there is no way it is humanly possible for me to blog every day! So I decided to only do 3 blogs for this challenge, one for each of the 10 day sections. That way I have time to fit in other blogs about other stuff...if I have time!



31DC2014 Part one!

 The first is colors! Here we go!

Day 1: Red

I used Picture Polish Dorothy and Ocean (blue accents) and did a design inspired by one of my IG brethren!

I used Picture Polish Totes and Zoya Beatrix (orange texture)

Day 3: Yellow

I used Nicole by OPI Gumdrops in Lemon Lolly over a base of OPI I Just Can't Cope-aCabana and black dots were OPI Black Onyx

Day 4: Green

I used Picture Polish Kryptonite and Honeydew and I used skinny straight nail vinyls for the accent nail!

Day 5: Blue

Dry brush base of OPI Dating a Royal and brushed on OPI Haven't the Foggiest and Dining al Frisco

Day 6: Purple

Simple swatch of OPI DS Mystery!

Day 7: Black and White

Free hand half black and half white of OPI Black Onyx and Alpine Snow and placed glitter circles of Salon Perfect "Spot On"

Day 8: Metallic

Base of Zoya Lux and chevrons added of Zoya Vega

Day 9: Rainbow

Base of OPI Black Onyx and glitter is Salon Perfect "Ruby' Cubes", lightning accent made with a nail vinyl

Day 10: Gradient

I hate sponging so I did a "dotticure" gradient will all Essie polishes! Base is Mint Candy Apple, then dots are Turquoise Caicos, Ruffles and Feathers, Naughty Nautical, and Go Overboard.
