Tribal Nails and Winstonia Brushes Review

Hey guys! Today I have my official review of the Winstonia nail art brushes I was sent (although there's another one coming up!) My fine detailing skills are severely lacking and boy was I excited to get these!

This mani is part of a Mani Swap I did with my friend Judy over at @Judyrox . She is all the way over in Spain! One of my favorite things about this crazy world of doing nails is getting to know  people all over the world, on line and in person! I just would have never of guessed  I would be in such a scenario!

Anyhoo-as soon as I received these brushes I went straight to Judy's page for inspiration...because she is the Queen of these kind of tribal nails in my book! I figured, why not just go for it and try something super hard, right? She graciously agreed to let me copy one of her designs :)

I knew these would be hard but man! They took forever! Thank goodness I didn't have to do all of my fingers!

I'm also still doing pretty good at going through my "untried" still! All but one used here were previously untried, but not necessarily new.

Polishes Used:
base for tribal nails: OPI My Vampire is Buff
dark blue on tribal nails: OPI I Saw...U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw
tan for tribal nails: OPI Berlin there, done that
turquoise for tribal nails: OPI Fly
ring finger: OPI Fly with sparkle top coat of OPI I Juggle...Men
Pinkie: OPI liquid sand in Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! with same sparkle topcoat.

Here is the set I received from Winstonia. For this mani I used the shorter striper (2nd from right, since they aren't numbered) for the horizontal lines separating the sections and the one all the way on the right (fine detail brush) for the small lines. They worked great...and I still have a lot of learning to do when it comes to this kind of thing! They held up well changing colors-- I used all nail polish for this, a lot of people use acrylic paint--and through multiple runs through acetone to clean them . This set is available on Winstoniastore.com for $6.95 :)
