China Glaze Desert Escape Collection for Summer 2015: Swatches and Review

Hey Guys! I'm excited to bring you my review of the summer collection from China Glaze! Availability is a little different than usual on these, all purchasing info is at the bottom so be sure it read it carefully! This is my favorite collection from China Glaze in a long time!! I don't have the previous 3 collections (from just this year alone!) but everyone is raving about them as well. They seem to be hitting it out of the park this year :)

This collection is inspired by "the tones found in the vast desert landscape where glowing pinks and reds are cooled by a serene turquoise and glisten against shimmering neutrals" and I think that's very fitting! My mom lives in Phoenix now and especially after visiting her there last year these colors really represent that part of the country, especially together! This color combo is also super hot right now, if you've been to Target recently you know what I'm talking about! ;)

Desert Escape Collection 2015

A few notes to start: on all of these swatches I used a ridge-filling base coat and no topcoat!

First up is "The Heat is On" a bright orangey red. I'm not too much of a red OR orange person, but the more these types of orangey reds come out, the more I am liking them! Go figure! This was a little thin on the first coat, but was completely opaque on the second. I was pretty surprised I didn't need 3 coats!

Next is "What's She Dune?" The name of this one makes me giggle. I love all these names! Oh lawd don't we all love a good nude! This one is just perfect, perfect formula, creamy and opaque in 2 coats. This is a staple in any collection!

Next is "Don't Mesa with my Heart". The last time I was in Phoenix we drove out to Mesa and had lunch--its a really cool little town with lots of little restaurants and shops. I loved it!
Along with raspberry pinks I love blue-hued pinks. This color isn't very original but to me its much more wearable than bubblegum pinks. This formula was a little thinner and streaky on this one so I used 3 coats to even everything out.

"Don't Desert Me" is a shimmery fuschia-ey purple that walks the line between shimmer and frost. It really glows! This type of shade makes me look really tan so 2 thumbs up for that haha. This is 2 coats. This type of polish also looks really good matte!

Next is "Meet me in the Mirage" a rose gold super opaque metallic polish. GAWD I love this. I am really having a rose gold moment and I don't have anything like this. It's so opaque I'm going to try stamping with it as soon as possible! 2 coats.

The best is always saved for last....yall know. Obsessed with this color for always and forever. "Rain Dance the Night Away" 2 perfect coats of a perfect color. This is so opaque I almost didn't need a second coat! I included a pic of it! This is not that similar to For Audrey, its definitely in the same family but much darker. I purposely swatched this one last because I knew I wouldn't want to take it off!

The pic below is one coat! Can you believe it??

Like I said before, I love this collection! The colors really go well together. I am a little confused why there's no cactus green though?!?! Here's the purchasing info....China Glaze has a new online retailer so they want to promote them! A lot of times I prefer to buy polishes in store but these are worth the little extra effort to order online!

The individual shades sold as open stock colors will only be available on LockAndMane.com.
·         Sally’s will only carry select nail art kits but they will not retail the individual colors.
·         Ulta is not carrying this particular collection.

So LockAndMane.com is the best retailer to get the complete collection!

This collection was provided for my honest review and yall know I always give it!
