First Monthly Fave Five on 5! February 2016 edition

Hey guys! This post starts a new series I've been wanting to do for a long loooooong time. Monthly favorites! I'm not promising to do this every month but hopefully I will be able to! This will just be a round up of five things I've been loving for the past month and using every day or almost every day. It could easily be way more than 5 but I felt like these posts don't need 100 thing bc no one wants to spend that long reading a blog! Most of the time it will be newish products as well-I'm trying lots of new things lately! I apologize for my pictures not being that sexy just yet but I'm going to work on it!

I need to calm down with the exclamation marks, geez.

February 2016 Fave Five

First up is this awesome little USB drive I ordered on Amazon. I can't remember where I saw it first but I'm pretty sure it was on Instagram. Someone I follow ordered one. This was forever ago! I bought it so that I can start finally archiving all of my nail pictures in one place and also get them off my main computer – they are taking up a lot of space! This cute little drive comes in several colors, but obviously I chose blue! It also comes in several different memory sizes-- I chose 32 gig. I can't remember if that's the biggest one they make or not but I wanted one with a lot of memory.

OPI USB drive

You can see here about how big it is. Somewhere between a full-size bottle and a mini OPI bottle. It's made out of a rubbery type material.

The black cap comes off and you can see the USB plug that goes right into your computer.

The polish I chose that matches most out of all of my blue OPI's (and that's a lot) is Keeping Suzi at Bay from the San Francisco collection a couple years ago. It's one of my favorite blues. This is two coats.

Next up is this Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. I think this is a fairly new product and I couldn't find it anywhere except online at first. Now I've seen it a few places including target. I 100% blame Nicole of Young Wild and Polished for this purchase. And she was right – it's awesome. It's not super opaque for bronzer – not that I have a lot of experience with those – but it does add a very subtle  "I look like I might have been tan last week "look. And the smell – you guys – it seriously smells amazing!  Like coconuts or piƱa colada or tropical vacation. Which I am all about these days. All days, really.  I don't really use this as bronzer or contour I just take a big fluffy brush and put it all over my face just so I can smell it! The only con is that the smell doesn't stay on my face all day ha ha. It does come with under the powder a little foam wedged type brush type thing but you can see it's still in the plastic – I've never used it. This comes in 2 shades bronzer – which is what I have and light bronzer? I believe. There's only two. I got the darker one because I'm not super fair skinned.

Next up is another purchase I blame on Nicole. She mentioned in her Snapchat that she picked up a couple of these in store and the last time I was at Sephora I happened to see these by the checkout. I swatched a couple on my hands and  these are the two that I picked up – the most neutral of all of them – no shocker there because I'm all about the #nudeliplife. I have become so obsessed with these, One stays in my purse and the other upstairs on my make up table. I want to get more of these. They are more hydrating like a balm and not sticky at all even though they go on like a gloss. And they smell amazing. I'm completely obsessed. The hydration doesn't last a super long time but neither does the Sugar lip treatment that I was using before. These are about $10 each which is a little pricey to me but let me tell you they're worth it. They come in a ton of crazy colors but I tend more towards the more boring colors.

Sephora Colorful Gloss Balm

NYX Color Correcting Concealer palette is up next.  This is a cream concealer palette. I got it more mostly for the green corrector for redness and the peach character for under eye  circles. I have very dark under eye circles!  And have been trying several different correctors. The NYX one that comes in the little round pot is pretty good as well but I find it a little bit hard to get my finger in there or a brush in there and get it on. It's also a bit thicker than this. Haven't quite exactly figured out what the yellow and purple are for, I mean I know what they are for but I haven't figured out how to use them on my face. But the peach concealer works fairly well on my under eye circles I've been pretty happy with it so far. I bought this at Ulta.

I've never really used Yellow Stopper for swatching before but I have finally figured out how to make it work for me and now it's all I use. I was low enough now on my original bottle, that I've had for a long time, that I just bought the bigger round bottle. But I hate the brush on that so I will be using it to fill up my smaller bottle. I bought this at Sally. Yellow stopper is commonly used in the nail world as a peel off basecoat.

Here is a current look at what my naked nails look like right now with one coat of yellow stopper on them. I have been maintaining them supershort lately – it's the only way I can keep from having breaks in the winter I have discovered. I'm just too clumsy to have long nails at the moment.

So there you go my top five favorite things of February. What do you guys think? Would you like o see swatches also of the make up products? Have you guys been using any of these things or have any of these things. I really enjoyed putting this list together! I jotted down things in my planner periodically throughout the month and then when it was time for me to narrow down I just chose the five that I like the best. I'm also looking at doing an occasional empties and regrets blog too!
